How will I be taught?
You are taught by a subject expert who has a wealth of experience in beauty, a variety of teaching methods are used to help you achieve: tutorials, independent working & research, practical activities, games and quizzes, we also use moodle and Microsoft Teams to enable you to access your lessons and teaching materials. You will work with real paying clients and have the opportunity to work with employers through guest speakers, educational visits and a work placement.You’ll also have the opportunity to achieve your GCSE English and maths if you haven’t already achieved a Grade 4.
How will I be assessed?
The course is free to 16-19 year old learners. A bursary to assist with travel and day to day costs may be awarded dependent on circumstances. A dress code in the salon is in operation and a tunic is provided. You will be expected to provide your own black trousers and flat black shoes. We can also help with purchasing a computer to help you with your studies.
Once you have experience as a therapist you may decide to enter product development, develop a brand of your own, manage or own a salon/spa, teach and assess new therapists, product sales or maybe become a beauty journalist.
You can gain employment with a Level 2 in a salon or work for yourself. We can also help you to progress on to another provider if you wish to further your training. Options include:

When Kharis was excluded from school in year 7 she never expected one day she would be walking down the red carpet. Following the exclusion Kharis was isolated and disengaged from any form of education. This all changed when she came into contact with the aspire2work study programme in Hull.
